This study discusses the behavior and interaction between the soil and foundation structure
on a variety of soils: dense sand, fine sand, sandy loam and clay loam. Direct testing requires a
high cost and a longer time, therefore, 3D FEM with ANSYS program has been used to determine
the behavior of the structure under loading until failure. Drucker-Prager properties has been used
in the soil modeling properties and contact element using coefficient of friction by 0,45.From the
model test results obtained that the interaction between the soil and foundation structure influence
the behavior of soils and foundations at the time of loading, the ultimate load decreases with weak
soil bearing capacity. The stronger the structure of the soil, the settlement decreased and the larger
volume of cracks.
