The purpose of this research is: (1) to determine the amount of water needs to be supplied at
present by PDAM Branch Loa Kulu, (2) to estimate the amount of water needs to be supplied by
PDAM Branch Loa Kulu in 2021.This research is a quantitative descriptive research conducted in
the field office of PDAM Branch Loa Kulu, Sub District Loa Kulu, of Kutai Kartanegara Regency
from May to July 2016.Stages of research activities are: (1) preparation (2) The data collection of
primary and secondary data. The data collected are: total population, the number of active
subscribers, clean water needs of each type of customer, the production capacity of clean water,
and. map of the area service area, and (3) data analysis.The results showed that:The need for and
the deficit of water in the area of PDAM Branch Loa Kulu in the year 2016 is respectively 70.07
liters/sec and 21.17 liters/sec.
Prediction of clean water needs in the area of PDAM Branch Loa Kulu in 2021 amounted to Q =
93.84 liters/sec.Deficit of water needed to meet water needs in the area of PDAM Branch Loa Kulu
in 2021 amounted to 50 liters/sec.Keywords: Clean Water Needs, PDAM Branch Loa Kulu.
