The purpose of this study to determine the effect of age on the production of chicken eggs
Parent Stock which includes Hen Day Production, Egg Weight and DOC Weight . This study used
an experimental method completely randomized design with three treatments and six replications
ie parent age 27 weeks, 33 weeks and parent age 63 weeks.Variables studied was the level Hen Day
Production, Egg Weight and DOC Weight. Data were analyzed using by analysis of variance.. This
Research Showed that the age of the parent stock is very significant on Hen Day Production, Egg
Weight and DOC Weight. Duncan Multiple test results show that the Hen Day Production of
different ages highest value obtained 88.31% at 33 weeks, and the weight of the eggs of different
ages holding the highest weight value obtained 74.44 grams at 63 weeks of age, and weight can be
hatching in value the highest of any age 49.13 grams at the age of 63 weeks. The results showed
the age of 33 weeks increased production rate, and a decline in production at the age of 63 weeks.
While the weight of the eggs and hatching will be heavier weight at the age of 63 weeks early age
production at the age of 27 weeks. The conclusion that the age of the hen parent stock significantly
affect Hen Day Production, egg weight and the weight of hatching. Hen Day To obtain the best
production at the age of 33-week parent parent stock, the higher the age of the hen parent stock, the
higher egg weights and DOC weight.
