ABSTRACT
Cherry leaf contain metabolites including flavonoids, tannins, triterpenes, saponins, and polyphenols which showed antioxidative activity. Attempts to get a cherry leaf extract preparation is done to obtain a more practical preparation and can be accepted by people in use. Granule is the dosage form selected in this study, considering this form is more stable when stored for long periods and can be formed capsules or tablets that have advantages over other dosage form.
Cherry leaf extract granules made in four formulas with variations of aerosil and avicel PH 101 concentration in the fourth comparison formula that FI with Aerosil : Avicel ( 0 % : 20 % ) , FII with Aerosil : Avicel ( 20 % : 20 % ) , F III with Aerosil : Avicel ( 0 % : 90 % ) and FIV with Aerosil : Avicel (20 % : 90 %). Based on the results of the study showed that the concentration of aerosil and Avicel PH 101, which meets the physical requirements of granule extracts of leaves of cherry ( Muntingia calabura L. ) is aerosil concentration of 20 % and 20 % Avicel PH 101 or a ratio of 1 : 1 .
