Orally disintegrating tablets (ODT) is a solid dosage form containing the drug, and disintegrated quickly. Disintegration time usually occurs within a few seconds when placed on the tongue and does not require additional water to swallow. To increase the speed of disintegration is using superdisintegran Starch 1500, sodium starch glycolate (SSG) and Avicel. Metoclopramide is an antiemetic used to get drunk and beneficial for patients with a difficult trip to get water. The study begins with optimization formula of metoclopramide ODT using comparison Starch 1500, sodium starch glycolate (SSG) and Avicel in certain proportions (0-1) sections. In this case 1 part = 15 mg (maximum) and 0 parts = 0 mg (minimum). Further testing on the tablet hardness, friability and disintegration time of the tablet metoclopramide ODT.The results showed that Avicel is the most influential component increases the hardness of tablets. Interaction starch 1500 and most influential avicel lowering fragility and interaction of starch 1500, SSG and avicel most influential lowering tablet disintegration time. The proportion of optimum combination of starch 1500, sodium starch glycolate and avicel that meet the physical requirements of tablets determined by comparison 0.0404: 0.7085: 0.2509.
