Cawat Hanoman is a plant whose roots are used as aphrodisiac empirically by Buntok society. This study aims to determine and prove the aphrodisiac activity of the methanol extract of Cawat Hanoman roots with the introduction of parameters, climbing, and coitus the male white mice. This study used a non-hormonal method of ethinyl estradiol induction in female mice. The treatment given to 5 groups of test animals consisting of 3 treatment groups and two control groups. Doses used in this study was 25 mg / kg, 100 mg / kg and 150 mg / kg. As a positive control used Pasak Bumi, while the negative control used Na-CMC 0.5%. The results of the analysis with the Kruskal-Wallis test showed a significant difference in the number of introductions and climbing at a dose of 25 mg / kg, 100 mg / kg, and 150 mg / kg of the positive and negative controls, whereas coitus showed no significant difference. Results of statistical analysis and supported the introduction of a percentage value, climbing, coitus against positive and negative control showed dose aphrodisiac greatest effect at 25 mg / kg. Percentage introduction, and coitus climbing dose of 25 mg / kg of the negative control respectively 79.92%, 94.05%, 100%, whereas the positive control is 30.33%, 77.38%, 53.33% .
