Various types of security measures has been use to protect network system, including firewall, anti-virus, intrusion detection system, etc. intrusion detection system is one approach that received widespread attention from the public to improve network security system. Intrusion detection system used to identify, classify and allow to respond to activity in a network system. To detect attacks on the network system, we need a method and algorithms that are expected to work accurately implemented on the intrusion detection system to detect attacks. One of the methods expected to be used in the classification process is Naïve Bayes Method. With the implementation of Naïve Bayes method and tested using dataset KDD Cup 1999, obtained a results in classifying the abnormal normal class and the class with the accuracy of more than 95%.
