This study aims to determine the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats in the development of duck jerky in Hulu Sungai Utara and alternative development strategies in Hulu Sungai Utara Regency. Results of research conducted in the Hulu Sungai Utara Regency duck jerky business development strategy using SWOT analysis, the values obtained from the analysis of external factors (EFE) of 2,531, and for the value of the analysis of internal factors (IFE) of 3,046. Can be taken conclusion that situation of duck jerky business in the Hulu Sungai Utara Regency is position of a strong internal and external environment in response to moderate or average. The results obtained from the SWOT analysis 12 alternative duck jerky business development strategy in the Hulu Sungai Utara Regency, namely: (1). Maintaining the quality of products to attract customers, (2). Perform continuous production, (3). Maintain and enhance collaboration with suppliers of raw materials, (4). Human resource development, (5). Actively conduct promotional activities, (6). Cooperation with financial institutions in lending capital for business development, (7). Adding to the distribution network through its association with new agents, (8). To diversify the products, (9). Increase customer loyalty, (10). Evaluate the performance of current business and start making plans and business targets in the future, (11). Increase the use of technology, (12). Improve product quality.
