This study aims to determine the best growth from seeds taken from the base of the stem and stolon roots of plants, is expected to provide benefits in getting the sago plant seeds that have the best growth to meet the needs of plants are cultivated in sago swamps and considering a wide area of marsh in Five continents of South Kalimantan and most have not been widely used, it can be cultivated with cultivation of crops sago. Materials research are: vegetative tillers sago, water, hoe, poly bags / soil, machetes, scales, measuring instruments and stationery. The design used in this study was completely randomized design (CRD) with a single factor of two (2) treatment of the seedling stem and stolon roots, The observation of all growth parameters were analyzed using Least Significant Difference Test (LSD 1%). The parameters observed were plant height, number of leaf midrib, midrib length of leaf and stem diameter. The result showed that the difference-seeds collection from stem and stolon roots significant (P <1%) on plant height, number of leaf midrib, midrib length of leaf and stem diameter sago plants, and it can be concluded that the withdrawal from the base of the stem sago seeds showed the best results on plant height, number of leaf midrib, midrib length of leaf and stem diameter sago plants compared with seed collection in the stolon roots.
