The objectives of the experiment were : (1) to understand the effect of SP-36 fertilizers and ectomycorrhiza inoculation and interaction between them on the growth of Eucalyptus pellita seedlings; and (2) to find out the proper dosage of SP-36 fertilizer and ectomycorrhiza inoculation for Eucalyptus pellita seedlings. The experiment was conducted in Jalan Suwandi, Samarinda Ulu Subdistrict, Samarinda and Analytic Laboratory Mulawarman University from August 2006 until October 2006.The experiment was arranged in Randomized Completely Design with Factorial Analysis 3 x 2, all combination treatment were replicated in five times. The first factor was SP-36 fertilizer (P) that consisted of three levels, i.e. : without SP-36 (p0), 0,50 g SP-36 polybag-1 (p1); and 1,00 g SP-36 polybag-1 (p2). Second factor was ectomycorrhiza inoculation (M) that consisted of two levels, i.e. : without inoculated by ectomycorrhiza (m0), and inoculated by ectomycorrhiza (m1). The result of experiment showed that : (1) the SP-36 fertilizer application was affected singnificantly on the weight of seedling roots, but no significant on height and diameter of stem at age 3 months after planting, dry weight of seedling, content of water relative of seedling: (2) the inoculation of ectomycorrhiza was affected significantly on the height and diameter of stem at age 3 months after planting, dry weight of seedling, content of water relative of seedling, and weight of seedling roots; (3) effect of interaction was affected significant on the height and diameter of stem at age 3 months after planting, dry weight of seedling, content of water relative of seedling, and weight of seedling roots; and (4) the combination of 0,5 g SP-36 polibag-1 and inoculated by ectomycorrhiza was gave the best growth of Eucalyptus pellita seedlings.
