The objectives of research were : (1) to proove the accute giving of Eurycoma longifolia root water extract that giving orally could prevent the forming of ulkus lambung of mouse that treated with ligasi pilorus; dan (2) to proove the accute giving of Eurycoma longifolia root water extract could prevent the increasing of keasaman getah lambung (intestine acidity) of mouse that treated with ligasi pilorus.The research was held at the Farmacology Laboratory and Research Laboratory of the Public Medical Study Program of Mulawarman University for eight months. The research used Wistar white mouse, provided from the Farmacology Laboratory of the Public Medical Study Program of Mulawarman University, that has 200-250 gram mouse weight. The mice were divided into 2 groups, where each of group consisted of 5 mice, with detail as follow: group I (mouse + NaCl 0.9% + ulkus induction) and group II (mouse + orally extract substance + ulkus induction). Results of the research revealed that Eurycoma longifolia root water extract that giving orally has protective effect on the lambung (intestine) due to it can prevents the increasing of ulkus and number of asam lambung bebas (free intestine acid) of the mouse that treated with ligasi pirolus.
