The problem observed in this study is the relation between parity and perineal rupture which is one of the causes of maternal death due to hemorrhage (28%) while postpartum hemorrhage can be caused by impaired contraction of the uterus, the placenta detaches, and rips the birth canal. Objects of this study are spontaneous pervaginam delivery mothers at VK. Bersalin RSUD. Dr. H. Moch. Ansari Saleh Banjarmasin.The objective of this study was to determine the relationship between parity and perineal rupture. The method used in this study is an analytic method by using secondary data. The results of the 246 study sample were primiparous which ruptured perineum 98 (100%), multiparous 116 (84.06%), and grandemultipara 0 (0%), whereas that is not ruptured perineum primiparous 0 (0%), multiparous 22 (15.94%), and grandemultipara 10 (100%). The conclusion of this study is obtained parity that most who ruptured perineum is primiparous and that not the least is grandemultipara. The suggestion from this study is for both low and high parity in order to practice correct partum leaders, teach correct abdominal strain muscle during partum, good cooperation between the mother and helper in order to reduce the occurrence of rupture of the perineum.
