This study aimed to determine the effect of electrode movement against the penetration depth and the length of the welding results. The method used in this study is an experimental method of laboratory tests. Material carbon steel mild steel plate St. 37 is the specimen that is cut to size, then welded with strong currents 70 A with variations electrode movement (pull, circular ½ circle and triangle), using a 2.6 mm diameter electrode RB. When finished welded and then cooled in air. After the specimens cool and then cut with a chainsaw cutting direction with the direction of welding. Furthermore filed cut surface until smooth, then measured to determine the depth of penetration and the length of the welding results. The results showed that the movement of the electrodes when welding effect on the penetration depth and the length of the welding results. The movement has a power ring electrodes ½ deepest penetration is 5.02 mm, while the low penetration power triangle electrode movement is 2.95 mm. Movement welding electrodes generate the most traction is 101.48 mm long, while the shortest welding results in the form of circular movement is 69.67 mm.
