The planting of corn in Palangka Raya is located at marginal land such as peatland. This research aimed (1) studies the peatland ability to provide of soil nutrients at the peatlands that have been cultivated for agriculture and (2) comparing the nutrients availability in peatland with nutrients sufficiency on the corns. This research is descriptive research was carried out in Kelurahan Kalampangan, Palangka Raya. Observations include N-NH+4, N-NO3-, P-available, K-exchangeable, absorption of N, P, and K and the efficiency of nutrients uptake. Research showed the nutrients availability in the peat soil (on site research) were variated, that influenced by land use, the presence of residual fertilizer from the previous growing season, the type of plants grown and the level of peat decomposition. Synchronization between nutrient availability and plant nutrient needs by less, so the status of plant nutrient adequacy for nutrients N and K is deficient, however for P is intermediete. Nutrients uptake efficiency for P and K is very low, while for N nutrient is medium.
